Cub Brothers Mackenzie and Max Brauer save choking third brother Henry in Dartmouth

Quick thinking by two cub brothers save third brother from chocking on swallowed coin.

On June 1st Henry (3 1/2) years old swallowed a coin after he had gone to bed for the night.
Mackenzie and Max noticed that Henry was choking. They provided immediate first aid and got parent's attention.
Max attempted the Heimlich manoeuvre but was unable to dislodge the coin. Henry was rushed the IWK hospital in Halifax where they performed an operation to remove the coin. Fortunately, the coin did not cause any permanent injury.

Both Max and Mackenzie attended a St John first aid course
(We Can Help – First Aid and Safety Awareness Workshop for Kids) offered through 1st Woodlawn "B" Pack back in February of this year.
