1. Reminder Registration Kit Return Night - Tuesday Oct 25th
For those of you who prefer evenings there will be a registration kit return night for Area on Tuesday, October 25th from 4:30 to 8:00pm at the Council office. Area's Treasurer Heather-Mae Zinck will also be on-hand to answer any questions or assist with Group Financial Statements.
2. Wood Badge 1 Training
New leaders or leaders changing sections can take either their Wood Badge 1 on-line (http://www2.scouts.ca/dnn/ Training/ ScoutsCanadaeLearning/tabid/ 2508/Default.aspx ) or in person. The following is the current offering of formal or in person WB1 training courses in HRM this fall:

Mon Nov 14 - Core @ Knox United Church, contact Sandra Braye (865-4703)
Fri Nov 18 (evening) - Sat Nov 19 - Colony Section Specific @ Woodlawn United Church, contact Gail Shea (435-1248)
Fri Nov 18 (evening) - Sat Nov 19 - Troop Section Specific @ BIO, contact Peter Comeau (434-6109)
Sat Nov 26 - Outdoor Skills @ Camp Harris, contact James Grigg (434-5277)
Fri Dec 2 (evening) - Sat Dec 3 - Pack Section Specific @ Woodlawn United Church, contact George Mawko (435-6244)
Section leaders taking formal training will require both the Core Course and a Section Specific Course for WB1 recognition, that is, to receive their woggle. Leaders with WB1 already who have moved on to a new sections only need to take the Section Specific Course.
Group Committee members need both the Core Course and the Group Committee Course to obtain WB1 recognition. There is no online training for Group Committee. The next available course is:
