1. Request for Financial Information

In early May of 2011, we asked that our groups submit their bank account information and a void cheque direct to our National Office with a copy to be sent to Nanci Douglas at our NS Council Office.
I will look after the seeing that this necessary information reaches the correct person in our National Office.
Please – this is what I require from every group and area.
· Name of the account holder as it appears on the bank statements/cheques
· Transit number
· Account number
· A void cheque (a scanned copy will be fine)
We should also have a contact name and phone number or email for the bank account in the event there are issues with the payments and we need to contact someone to resolve the issue.
As you have probably heard one of the biggest benefits of the new registration system, Myscouts, is the ability to register on-line. As we get closer to the implementation of Myscouts, one of the prerequisites for on-line registration is the setup of the group bank account on the National system to deposit group proceeds collected through on-line payment.
Once collected, the appropriate fee for each level of Scouts Canada will be separated and forwarded by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) to the appropriate council and group. In order to accomplish this task we will need the above information.
