Sears & Scoutrees Promotion

Once again this year Sears has offered to partner with us and allow us to promote Scouting at their location on Portland Street. The potential dates are Saturday April 21 & Saturday April 28, 2012.
Here’s what some of our groups are doing in case you are interested in trying something similar.
• Promote your groups environmental activities including tree planting – ask customers to help you plant a tree
• Ask for support for camp expeditions
• Some groups have set up barbecue stations outside the store and sold hot-dogs and hamburgers to incoming customers
• Other groups would do good deeds for the customers such as: opening doors for Sears customers, or helping people carry purchases to their car.
As always, your group will be able to set up a main table where you can have Scouts literature, Registration sign up forms, and a donation box if you choose.
Keep in mind that April 14th – April 22nd is Scouts Canada Good Turn Week!
The Sears weekends will be perfect for showing your community how strongly Scouts feel about contributing positively to society by doing good deeds for others.
